Some of you may or may not know that PADI have restructured the pre-requisites for the PADI Rescue Diver Course. Before the 2009 update it was only possible to become a Rescue Diver by firstly completing the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course. This is now no longer the case as of the 2009 update you can take the Rescue Diver Certification by completing the PADI Adventure Diver course.
